Elevator Contractors of America

E

levator Contractors of America (ECA) was formed in the Spring of 2002 to represent independent union elevator contractors during negotiations with the  International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC). With the major employers negotiating independently of the National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII), it was apparent that the independent contractor would have no voice during the negotiations. The ECA agreement with the IUEC became effective July 9, 2002.

The ECA is the voice of the independent union elevator contractor.  In this age of consolidation, it is more important than ever that we stand together and speak as one voice.

Together, the independent elevator contractors of the United States employ approximately 25% of the union elevator force in the United States, more than most of the majors individually!
